Creating your own GPT, how does it work?

How to create a GPT:

1. Go to chat.openai.com/gpts/editor (or select your name and then “My GPTs”).

3. In the Create tab, the GPT Builder assists in building a new GPT. For example, “Create a creative assistant to generate visuals for new products” or “Create a software engineer to format my code.” These are examples of useful conversation starters.
4. In the Configure tab, name and describe GPT. Here you can also select actions such as web browsing or image creation.
5. When finished, select “Publish” to share your GPT with others. This is how you can easily make your custom GPT available to others.

Advanced settings in the GPT Editor:

In the GPT editor, you also have a number of specific instructions that you can enter to make your own custom GPTs even better. These settings allow you to further refine and customize the behavior and output of the GPT to meet specific needs. Here are some of the key advanced settings you can use:

• Add Image: Ask the Builder function in GPT to create an image for your GPT. You can also upload your own files.
• Enter Additional Instructions: Provide detailed guidance on the behavior and functionalities of the GPT. For example, in what way your GPT responds. Provide more direction with clear feedback, relevant input, and desired style.
• Prompt Starters: Set examples of prompts for users to start conversations.
• Knowledge: Provide context or reference material for your custom GPT. Provide relevant data to enrich your GPT with context or company information.
• New Capabilities: Enable Web Browsing, DALL-E Image Generation and Advanced Data Analysis.
• Custom Actions: Make external APIs available to your GPT for enhanced functionality.
