The hype surrounding the language model ChatGPT probably won’t have escaped your notice. Organizations in various sectors and industries have been experimenting. After all, the possibilities for deploying an AI language model are limitless. At Brthrs, we have been developing with apps based on AI and machine learning for some time. But, ChatGPT is also on a lot at our Utrecht office.

Brthrs likes to make unique applications in the digital world accessible to everyone. This mission also relates to the application of AI in the business processes of organizations. In this article you will read how we as a company help implement and advise on implementing the ChatGPT API.

What exactly is OpenAI’s ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is a language model trained by the American OpenAI. The language model can be used to generate different types of texts. Think news articles, emails, programming code and input for chatbots. In addition, you can even link your own Machine Learning model to the ChatGPT API.

The language model is trained to understand as well as generate language. OpenAI fed the model huge amounts of text to understand the content and interrelationships. It is estimated that ChatGPT is trained through hundreds of billions of words in different languages.

If you use ChatGPT to generate text, the language model requires a command. This command is also called a prompt. Consider “generate a response to the email below” or “name 5 ideas for blogs on Digital Accessibility aimed at (semi-)government agencies.

This command is processed by ChatGPT, after which a text is generated. If a user is not satisfied with the output, a new prompt on the same topic can be given. By continuing a conversation in ChatGPT, the language model learns again about the topic at hand.

Common applications of ChatGPT in business processes

The beauty of a versatile AI tool like ChatGPT, is that the applications in business are also diverse due to the capabilities of the language model. At Brthrs, for example, we have integrated ChatGPT into our workflow. Think about helping you check your code, write documentation and help make our software even more secure.

But, as an agency, we like to integrate ChatGPT into other business processes. Some examples are listed below.

1. Writing scenarios and user stories

The OpenAI API can help write user stories by acting as a language generation model. This allows you to automatically generate texts suitable for user stories, such as job descriptions and scenarios.

If you give the API the right context, the model can then generate a more comprehensive description, including specific scenarios and use cases. This saves you time and effort in writing user stories while ensuring higher quality output, since the API is based on advanced language processing technology.

As an example, you can provide input to the API in the form of specific requirements and requirements for your project, and the API can then generate realistic and specific scenarios and user stories that match those requirements.

2. ChatGPT as part of your customer service

Customer service representatives regularly receive the same questions in the mail. Often these are not the most challenging issues. Many companies have therefore bundled these questions into a section on the website called F.A.Q., the Frequently Asked Questions or frequently asked questions in Dutch. Here visitors may be able to find the answer to their question.

But, how convenient is it if these questions are also answered from customer service, without your staff having to answer the same questions over and over again. Consider questions such as “Where can I find the order date?” or “How can I change my account name? ChatGPT’s language model can provide excellent answers to such questions.

3. ChatGPT as part of the HR department.

Especially for larger organizations, recruiting new staff is a big job. For new job openings, texts must be written, interested parties must be selected, and the application process must be completed.

ChatGPT can relieve the staff of your company’s Human Resource (HR) department in several areas. For example, Brthrs helps companies have job postings drafted (in part) by ChatGPT. In addition, Brthrs can integrate ChatGPT into the CRM to answer and compose emails.

4. ChatGPT gives customers answers 24/7

As an agency, Brthrs integrates ChatGPT not only for programming assistance. This language model is also extremely suitable for the output of a chatbot. For example, it is possible to build a chat feature where ChatGPT answers all questions, or answers only the visitor’s initial questions.

In the chatbot, ChatGPT can provide an immediate answer or direct the visitor to the correct page. If visitors to your website or online store receive a quick response, it will increase the conversion rate. After all, they don’t have to wait long for the answer to their question.

5. ChatGPT as a webshop contributor

ChatGPT is interesting for web shops in several ways. Not only can the AI be used as a chatbot to drive more sales, ChatGPT can also be used to make products more findable.

For example, ChatGPT can be used to automatically generate descriptions of a shop’s products. This description cannot be placed one on one on the website, but it serves as inspiration and basis for the web editors. This allows more products to be uploaded in a shorter period of time.

6. ChatGPT as legal department support

For most entrepreneurs, administration is not the number one hobby. Therefore, using ChatGPT to generate (legal) documents can be a solution. This allows a company to create multiple contracts, bids and other documents in a short period of time.

Implementing ChatGPT in business operations

Brthrs helps organizations with smart digital solutions. The implementation of ChatGPT is a central part of this. We like to think along how the ChatGPT API can be applied to existing or new apps.

Thus, we are happy to help determine and devise the right concept. In addition, together we determine what input is needed to achieve integration. We can also help create links to the API and build tools to automate specific tasks, such as a chatbot or job writing.

We are curious about new applications of this technology and like to think along with you. Feel free to drop us a line to learn more about ChatGPT’s capabilities for your organization.
