What should you do to avoid violating privacy laws?

It is critical to consider privacy laws when developing a digital product. Brthrs Agency is up to date with the latest developments in privacy and security, so you have nothing to worry about.

Safety above all

When publishing an app or website, user data must be handled with care. This begins when a customer fills out a form that requires them to enter their name and address. It is prohibited by law to transmit this information over an unsecured connection.

And that’s only natural, because an unsafe, digital product can have far-reaching consequences. For example, consider a back-end system whose customer database is unsecured. As a result, sensitive data can be out on the street just like that. This is not just annoying; you as a company are responsible for this.

At Brthrs Agency, we take safety measures to avoid unpleasant situations. For example, we deliver our products by default with an encrypted SSL connection and work with cloud solutions to protect sensitive data. That way you, or your client, will never have any nasty surprises. Want to learn more about privacy laws and security? Send us a message, or stop by our office in Utrecht!

AVG Compliant

On May 25, 2018, new European privacy laws will be in place that all organizations in the EU must comply with. All of our products that we develop will be AVG (General Data Protection Regulation) compliant. This means that we take this legislation into account in both development and delivery and also advise you on this.

Further, we will need to enter into a processor agreement that agrees how to handle personal data that we also have access to.
